Monster King Productions is a creep-tastic custom art and merchandise company created by artist Stephen Vincent and his first lady of fright, Vanessa Perez. Not only does MKP produce ghoulishly original artwork and clothing, but we encourage bands, businesses, and EVERYONE to commission their very own personal piece of visual insanity.
Stephen “The Monster King” Vincent
Mr. Vincent hails from Michigan’s charmingly violent dark corner of the country known as Flint. As a child he was mesmerized by Saturday morning cartoons, comic books, and Halloween. As a teen he was twisted by horror movies, violent music, and yes…alcohol. When he decided to take his art seriously, every last one of those elements was fused and stitched together to create a style that can only be described as “Oh, umm yeah…that’s kind of…different.” Stephen approaches everything with a D.I.Y. attitude as he’s never been properly trained in much of anything he gets his hands into, but WHO CARES!?! I mean, as long as it looks cool as shit, who…effing…cares. Right? Anyyyyyways, whether it’s illustration, painting, graphic design, clothing, music, photography, or homicide you can be sure that the “Monster King” will bring it to the masses with his own original style and macabre.
Vanessa “The Monster Queen” Perez
This pretty lady has supported the sickness that is MKP before it even came to be. Her heart and belief in our company has helped shape it into what it is today. While her involvement thus far has been mostly behind the scenes, she’s recently been bitten by that nasty little creativity bug. One dark and stormy night she decided to purchase a sewing machine and ever since then “the lab” has gotten a little cramped. So be on the lookout for her uniquely hand crafted goods featuring original MKP artwork.
Where did the name Monster King come from?
Most artists have a place in their mind where they like to escape and get away. Well, Stephen’s imagination takes on the form of a toon town gone rotten. Brightly colored flesh drips from dancing bones, big bulgy eyes roll back into their sunken sockets, giant fists pound through the dirt in search of flesh…BUT…it’s all in good fun. And when our founder takes travel to his land of merry misfits, a transformation takes place. As he himself sheds his human form and becomes the decaying, gangly green entity know as THE MONSTER KING!
